Day 12 in La Fortuna, Costa Rica

7:00 am-

The kids thought today would be an early day. Brandt woke up covered in a rash, we are assuming it's from the chlorine in the pool. We gave him him benedryl and that always makes him tired and groggy. Besides that we started our day as normal, unfortunately we did have to move to a different hotel. We found it's way easier to load everything in a car versus a bus.

9:30 am-

We went to a laundry shop and dropped our clothes off to be washed. It was nice to have laundry done for me.

9:45 am-

We went to a little soda for breakfast and enjoyed ourselves. We got a couple of different things and shared. We had pancakes, toast, fruit, ham, and eggs. The kids all cleared their plates.

10:30 am-

West the kids walk around and in a few shops. They all brought some cash and it has been burning a hole in their pockets. The girls both got a bracelet and Brandt got a wooden frog. We had to remind them whatever they bought they had to carry.

12:30 pm-

We picked up our laundry, it cost 1500 colones per kilogram.

1:30 pm-

We went to this hot spring river. The kids loved it, it's where the locals go and is completely free. The current was strong at some areas so we held onto the kids. It was a refreshing feeling.

3:00 pm-

We checked into our new room, but Costa Rica was out of power for some reason. So we had no power for 2-4 hours. The kids napped and we just relaxed.

5:00 pm-

We drove around town and decided to stop at Luigi's Pizzeria. The pizza was great and we had garlic bread with fresh sliced tomatoes and mozzarella. Very delicious.

7:30 pm-

We came back home and took showers. The kids were tired so they laid around until each one fell asleep. Poor little Brandt has went crazy itching today, we are hoping this is gone tomorrow.

We are going to try the hike we had planned for today. The kids weren't in the best of moods and needed a rest day.
