Arrival in Bangkok

Dear Wilson,

So after about 45 hours of total travel including layovers, we finally made it to the Airbnb in Bangkok. I set 2-lifetime records on this journey. The longest I have gone without a shower and the longest I have worn shoes without taking them off lol.

So far, Bangkok is probably my favorite big city I have ever been to. The public transportation is pretty amazing and smooth, the people seem very friendly/helpful, and the diversity is entertaining to watch. The airport is a melting pot of cultural diversity with all kinds of nationalities. Pretty amazing to see people from literally all over the world all at once in a central location. We took 2 different tram rides and a "Grab" ride (their version of Uber) to get to our stay. The entire process was amazingly seamless. We packed into the tram like sardines which seemed to make the kids very uncomfortable, which made me laugh. I love putting the kids in uncomfortable spots as much as possible ๐Ÿ˜ˆ. All are part of the plan to make them more resilient, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals.

Street food is literally EVERYWHERE. I haven't taken the risk of eating the meat on the streets yet but I'm going to today. I'm always scared of the risk of food poisoning. However, if the 8 million + people here can do it, then we can too. Today we go to the biggest market in Bangkok called the Chatuchak Weekend Market and I think it's the biggest street market in the world. Over 15,000 stalls so it's probably seemingly endless. Street food, here we comeโ€ฆ I don't mean the Kung Pao chicken from Panda Express eitherโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Well, that's it for now. I'm writing this at 4:00 in the morning since I had to catch up on work stuff. When you have a business in Slidell, Louisiana, and are in Thailand, the "normal business hours" are completely ruined. So I will be setting alarms at weird times to wake up and pretend I'm not just waking up to return messages. Just part of the new business model I guess. Alright, that's it for now. The entire family is up somehow this early due to severe jet lag and time confusion. So I guess it's time for some 4:00 am video games with them haha.
